bragging rights that they allow the proverbial cart to get in front of
the horse.
Make no mistake....
SCUBA Diving is
an EGO Sport!
SO FAR....fundamentals
such as Buoyancy Control have managed to not become an "ego trip" or
attract very much attention from most of the diving community. Perceived
STATUS is more important than actual competence
with fundamental skills.

One of us is a cave diver.
Just a cave diver....not
even a cave instructor.AND....not even a famous cave diver....NO Exploration Credits, NO Dive Equipment Design patents. Just a cave diver with good buoyancy skills and a pretty good frog kick. A cave diver who doesn't think he has to dress up like a technical diver in order to share his SCUBA Fundamentals ability in photos, video or in person. BECAUSE:

Tech Diver Quality Fundamentals are for "ALL DIVERS" Good
buoyancy skills & how to frog kick is what you can learn
here....the really hard part ( if you go by how most divers look
underwater ) seems to be, deciding that those two
things have a value.
We
don't have good buoyancy skills because we are instructors or because
one of us is a cave diver. We had good buoyancy skills before we
decided to seek instructor and technical dive training.THAT'S WHAT'S WRONG...."almost everyone else" skips over that part about building a foundation of dive fundamentals FIRST. That's why there are so many, so called, "elite divers" who suck at buoyancy. WE'LL SHOW YOU: how to put the cart back behind the horse! |

ARE PICTURED WITH MULTIPLE TANKS
May not be the diver that you want to imitate. Being photographed in sidemount or being photographed in double tanks with stage bottles ( especially when stage bottles are being worn on both sides) may say more about what that diver doesn't know. MORE & BIGGER TANKS do not identify a GOOD DIVER! BEING ABLE TO DO A LONGER BOTTOM TIME With a smaller tank....
